Project Development Manager
Simon Bélisle is the Project Development Manager at the Great Lakes Protection Fund and is responsible for designing, vetting and launching new projects. He also helps future grantees develop their strategies and navigate the Fund’s due diligence process.
Prior to joining the Fund, Simon spent 6 years at the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative helping municipalities achieve their sustainability goals and informing association members of the latest trends in Great Lakes and St. Lawrence policy and programs related to water management.
Simon is a graduate of Université Laval in Québec City, Canada, with a Master’s degree in Land-use Planning and an undergraduate degree in geography. He is a native of Asbestos, Quebec, Canada and enjoys cooking, cycling by Lake Michigan and rooting for his favorite sports teams in his spare time.
