Mater Engineering will lead a team of state forestry experts, independent forest certifiers, environmental and timber products interests to promote sustainable forestry on state-owned lands. Pilot certification evaluations will be undertaken on basin forests in at least two states. The project will compare planning requirements of two different certification schemes, and allow different interests to participate in assessments of forestry practices as conducted in working public forests. |
