Join Our Team- Executive Assistant
Open Position: Executive Assistant
The Great Lakes Protection Fund seeks an Executive Assistant (EA) to support its high-performing team. They are the glue that keeps the organization running smoothly.
We want an experienced professional with demonstrated success in a small, agile, highly impactful organization. They know how to prioritize, support multiple people, wear multiple hats, and keep the operation running well. No task is too small or too big for the ideal candidate.
This individual works closely with the Executive Director, providing scheduling, travel, and administrative support. The EA also supports the entire team by helping prepare board and other materials, event planning and support, taking minutes, and maintaining the board portal. Managing general office matters—purchasing office supplies, software and hardware management, routing mail, managing corporate records, and the like—is a somewhat smaller but essential part of this position.
An ideal candidate will be a polished professional, have five to ten years of successful experience supporting executives and boards of directors, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high proficiency with the MS Office Suite and information technology, a proactive approach to the work, a sense of humor, and a passion for the Great Lakes is a plus. They thrive in a small team environment. Working knowledge of nonprofit and/or funding organizations is a plus. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package.
We welcome applicants of all races, genders, and/or ethnicities. If you are interested, please tell us how your background meets our needs, even if you may not exactly match the desired qualifications above. We want to find the best person for the job and will view how your knowledge, capabilities, education, and experience would add to our team.
To apply, please send us a cover letter highlighting your experience and ability to perform the duties of this position and your resume to email@example.com.
