Join Our Team – Executive Assistant

Open Position: Executive Assistant

The Great Lakes Protection Fund seeks an Executive Assistant (EA) to join its high-performing team. The EA is the glue that keeps the organization running smoothly.

We are seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated success in a small, agile, highly impactful organization. The EA knows how to prioritize duties, support multiple people, wear varied hats, and keep the operation running well. No task is too small or too big for the ideal candidate.

This individual works closely with the Executive Director on scheduling, travel, and various administrative tasks. The EA also collaborates with the entire organization by helping prepare board and other materials, managing meeting planning and logistics, taking minutes, and maintaining the board portal. Managing general office matters—office supplies, software and hardware management, mail, corporate records, expense reporting, and the like—is also an essential part of this position.

An ideal candidate will be a polished professional who thrives in a small team environment, has five to ten years of successful experience, excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills, high proficiency with the MS Office Suite and information technology, a proactive approach to work, and a sense of humor.  A passion for the Great Lakes is a plus.  Working knowledge of nonprofit and/or funding organizations is also a plus. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. We offer an attractive compensation and benefits package.

This is a full-time, onsite position.

We welcome applicants of all races, genders, and/or ethnicities. If you are interested, please tell us how your background meets our needs, even if you may not exactly match the desired qualifications above. We want to find the best person for the job and will consider how your knowledge, capabilities, education, and experience would add to our team.

How to Apply

To apply, please submit your cover letter and resume through the NextGroup website. The NextGroup search team will contact you regarding the next steps.
