Judy Drabicki

Dexter, New York

Prior to her retirement at the end of 2020, Judy served in several positions in the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. She began as Regional Attorney in the region of NYSDEC that borders Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. She subsequently served as Regional Director of the same region, managing staff including engineers, biologists, uniformed officers and more. She was promoted to Deputy Commissioner for Natural Resources, and then to Executive Deputy Commissioner, managing an agency of 3,000 employees engaged in all areas of environmental protection and management of the natural resources of the state of New York.

Ms. Drabicki has served on various not-for-profit boards including The Women’s Center (now The Victim’s Assistance Center), Meals on Wheels of Watertown, and the Watertown Urban Mission.

Ms. Drabicki received her undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University, and her Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University. She is retired from the practice of law. She resides in Dexter, New York with her husband, and has two adult children.

Ms. Drabicki was appointed to the board of the Great Lakes Protection Fund in June of 2021.
