Joanne Ha

Joanne Ha serves as Chief of Strategy and Engagement for Commissioner Marcelino Garcia of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Previously she was the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Friends of the Chicago River. There, Ms. Ha headed the advancement of Friends’ mission through key public engagement campaigns, award-winning outreach programs, and successful relationships with civic, corporate, and government leaders to ensure long-term conservation practices.
Ms. Ha also serves on the Chicago Harbor Safety Committee Board. Ms. Ha has a bachelor’s degree in economics, with an emphasis on policy, from Boston University.
Ms. Ha was appointed to the board of the Great Lakes Protection Fund in January of 2020.
