Peter Gove

St. Paul, Minnesota

Peter L. Gove held executive positions in communications, investor relations and government affairs with Control Data Corporation and St. Jude Medical, Inc. He retired from St. Jude in 2005 as Vice President of Corporate Relations and a corporate officer.

Earlier Mr. Gove was Minnesota Governor Wendell R. Anderson’s environmental assistant, Executive Director of the Pollution Control Agency before serving as Legislative Director on Anderson’s U.S. Senate staff and thereafter as Assistant Director of the U.S. National Park Service.

Mr. Gove was the first chairman of the Mississippi River Commission appointed by the Secretary of the Interior in 1991 to develop the general management plan for the NPS Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. He is the principal founder of Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) and remains a board member. He is a past chair of the St Croix River Association Board and the Trust for Public Land’s Minnesota Advisory Board. He is also a Trustee of Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin and chair of the Episcopal Homes of Minnesota Board.

Mr. Gove is a graduate of Princeton University and the Stanford University Executive MBA program.

Mr. Gove was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Great Lakes Protection Fund in September of 2012.
