Sharon Walton
Sharon is the Vice President of Finance and Administration at the Great Lakes Protection Fund. In this role, she is responsible for the investment, financial and administrative systems that support the Fund’s strategic objectives. Her oversight includes investments, finance, accounting, information technology, human resources, and physical infrastructure.
Sharon brings a broad financial and operational background, with public accounting, non-profit and private sector experience. Prior to joining the Fund, she served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at the Newberry Library and Chief Financial Officer of the Chicago Academy of Sciences/Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
Sharon holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University.
