Making a Decision on Improvement: A Case Study Demonstration Involving Waukesha Water Supply
The project team evaluated hydrological and ecological links to identify potential improvement opportunities in Southeastern Wisconsin. Groundwater modeling illustrated how the aquifer(s) would respond to a cessation of pumping in the Waukesha area. The project team worked with regional stakeholders to identify criteria and measures to determine what are “acceptable” resource improvements for different Waukesha water withdrawal scenarios. Stakeholder workshops were held. Final products will include a case study, draft application document, and fact sheets that summarize significant learning from the project.
